Privacy

A concise statement of what this portfolio measures, what it deliberately avoids collecting, and how privacy signals are respected.

Default site behaviour

This portfolio does not intentionally use advertising trackers, marketing pixels, account logins, or a public contact-form database. Local storage is used only for lightweight interface preferences such as visual palette, light/dark appearance, observatory lab state, and your explicit optional analytics preference.

Privacy-respecting analytics

The portfolio is prepared for Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate page traffic and web performance without advertising profiles. The site does not use Google Analytics.

If you enable optional first-party analytics below, a small endpoint can record which named portfolio sections are reached, plus broad action categories such as case-study opens and résumé downloads. These events contain only the event type, page path, and section/category id. The site-side implementation does not write user IDs, cookies, referrers, fingerprints, or raw IP addresses into the analytics dataset.

First-party event analytics is disabled by default and requires an explicit opt-in. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track always override that preference. Disabling optional events stops future first-party collection but does not erase previously aggregated data. Cloudflare Web Analytics is a separate, site-wide aggregate service configured by the site owner, not controlled by this switch.

First-party section and action analytics: disabled

This preference controls optional first-party event collection, not Cloudflare’s separate aggregate Web Analytics beacon where the site owner has enabled it.

Direct contact links

The portfolio does not collect contact-form submissions or operate a public message database. Contact actions open a pre-addressed draft in the visitor’s own email application. A message leaves the visitor’s device only after they choose to send it from that application.

The private inbox address is not printed as page content. The contact section separates role inquiries, research conversations, and general introductions so visitors can start with the most relevant path.

External links

This portfolio links to external services such as GitHub, LinkedIn, ORCID, Streamlit, Amazon, Goodreads, Cloudflare, and Jitsi. The private browser-meeting page does not load Jitsi until a visitor explicitly enters an invitation code and chooses to join. External services apply their own privacy practices after you choose to open them.

ORCID™, the ORCID logo, and the iD logo are trademarks of ORCID, Inc. The linked iD icon is used only to identify the external ORCID record.

Contact

For privacy questions or correction requests, use one of the direct email actions in the contact section.
